Any way to delete dictionary stored in computer?
I have Windows XP and I just wanted to clear out all the saved words I have stored in the spell check dictionary... Some mis-spelled words are stored so I wanted to know how I could delete all of the words I have added since I started using XP...
Thanks |

Do a search for a file called custom.dic. It should be located in c:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\Proof
You may have to unhide the Application Data folder from Windows Explorer to find the file. Once you have located the file, it will open in Notepad and you can add or remove words from there. You could also delete it from Word's Options dialog.
