Cannot find files

I am running Windows ME and i am trying to install a Linksys Etherfast PCI Adapter Model No:LNE100TX. Ok, I installed it into slot and booted computer. It tried to install software for new hardware but it said said some files were missing. The files are "rpcltc6.dll", "rpclts6.dll", "nwlink.vxd", and "wsipx.vxd". Can anybody help me locate these files or know where I can download them from??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked on Linksys's web site?

Do you have the driver disk in the drive and the wizard pointed to a:\winme? Is it asking for the WinME CD?

I have looked on the linksys website and even chatted with their tech support and he said it was Operating System files and he couldn't help me anymore. I have the disk and I put it in and it tries to copy the files but says it cannot find them. It does not ask for the WinME disk.

It sounds like it is in fact looking for the OS distribution files - which should be on the hard drive in c:\windows\options\install or c:\windows\options\cabs - and they are no longer there. Put the WinME CD in the drive - the files will be in a folder named \winme or \win9x or something like that - I don't have a ME CD to look at.

if its a DLL file, then you can go to www.download.com and download DLL explorer, it will let you download all the DLL files available.

Let me know if you need more help
