Outlook 2003 insert picture dissapears

Outlook 2003 pro sp 2 and all updates , i think,
when writing a new email i get this problem.
when i insert a picture from file and scroll down the page the picture gradually disappears and im just left with a black box (frame) where it used to be, if i make changes to the picrure settings it reappears then goes again once i navigate around the email.

it is sending the pics if i check sent items it is fine.
can get a screen shot if im not clear enough here.

couldnt find anything close on MSKB, google so...
