If you right-click your taskbar, select "Properties" and then "Start Menu", does it give you the option there to choose between "Start Menu" and "Classic Start Menu"?

Have you checked under
Start > Right-Click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Performance settings > adjust for best appearance? If it is on for best performance, that is classic Windows View similar to older Windows versions.

If nothing else works,
You can download the Energy Blue theme from Microsoft's website. |

Hit control panel, expand the box in the upper left side of the window that says control panel and the switch to category view (XP) option is there.
Edit, might not be what you are looking for, only changes control panel. However in category view-appearance and themes is where you should find what you want. Not sure about classic view.

Hi again
Something may have gone wrong during your reinstallation, and it's also possible that if you reinstalled due to virus/malware trouble, that trouble might still be lurking (so run your scans on as "thorough" settings as possible, and use several tools). To specifically fix the Luna themes disappearance, Kelly's Korner has a Registry Tweak you can try: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs.../Resources.zip . . . Gary Let us know if that doesn't help, there are a few other things to try. |
