Drive copy problem

I am trying to upgrade my HD to a bigger HD. I used the WD software and did a drive copy. It said completed. I pull out the old drive and just leave the new drive. But...

I now get a screen that says:

Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware
configuration problem.
Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware.
Please check the Windows documentation about hardware disk
configuration and your hardware reference manuals for
additional information.

I can get to the F8 boot options, but everything takes me right back to the above errors. I have checked the drive as a second drive in another XP system, all the files were copied. Why did the boot info not copy correctly.

Is there a way to copy the system files needed to boot?

You don't have the drive jumpered to Master with no slave drive present, do you? Can't do that with WD's - pull the jumper or use cable select.
