help menus pop-us automatically n the computer beeps...plz help

hello...

i am facing a wierd problem with my pc...i am running Windows XP...the help menu or the help box of any running program pops-up repeatedly after every 5/6 minutes and at that time the computer beeps twice or thrice....it also changes the name of the current folder to "='56" something like that...there is no consistence in this matter...sometimes it happens very frequently...again sometimes it seems that there is no problem at all...this is very much annoying and hampering my work...can anyone help me plz....

Are you sure that your keyboard is in working order? It sounds to me that the F1 key is stuck and getting pressed repeatedly. Can you try with another keyboard (remember that if it's a PS2 keyboard you need to power down your computer before changing keyboards).
Also, when was the last time you ran a complete antivirus/spyware scan?

nop...the F1 button isn't stuck..keyboard is working properly...just a day ago i scanned my pc using antivirus software...still couldn't find out the problem..
