Question Disconnect when closing IE?

What is the best/easiest way to disconnect a dial-up line automatically when exiting Internet Explorer or Outlook? As an alternative, is there a way to set up a command (icon on the desktop screen) to accomplish this?

Having not even used dial-up for many years, I am attempting to accomplish this for a friend who has only dial-up access available. Thanks in advance.

I believe, under internet options, connections tab, if you have always dial my default connection checked, and of course you make to dial up connection you are using to be your default then it should work.. I had my mom's PC that way and it did just what you are wanting your friends to do. She has dsl now though and I think she really likes it.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the quick help.... I will try that when I get over there to see her, and see if it works..... sounds like it should do the trick.
