The toolbar on my Outlook Express 6 suddenly disappears. I tried
View > Layout > then checking Toolbar but still the toolbar doesn't appear. And even checking the Customize toolbar don't enable the appearance of the customize window. By the way, when I tried opening a new user (log on to different user), this problem doesn't occur. Thus this problem only exist on my current user. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Here's my PC configuration. Windows XP Home SP2 (updated) Outlook Express 6.00.2900.218 RAM : 1GB Thanks. |

The toolbar disappears because the identity file for OE has been damaged. The best solution that you can use is to create a new OE identity and then import your mails/mail accounts/address book into it.
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/probl...htm#notoolbars has a registry edit to try to recover it if you are comfortable with registry editting. Last edited by Statica; 03-04-2006 at 06:52 AM. |

Statica,
I'm not familiar with tweaking the registry so, I'll just back up my mails/account/address then create a new OE account just like you adviced. I'll post the result next time. Thanks. |
