Hi, I've been having an error that I can't quite seem to fix. When I go on to the internet I can call up a website but once at the website I often cannot use the links associated with that item. This message also comes up when I try to open an attachment to my mail or when I try to play a video file. I have tried to reload my microsoft media player and even my windows 98 with no improvement. Any ideas on what more I can do? Thanks. LouRT |

Hi LouRT,
Can you post the exact error message, including any additional information (some error messages have a "Details" button you can press for more information)? Try running a repair of IE, and set things to defaults in Internet Options as a start. Since you've already tried redoing WMP and Win98, it might be an Internet options setting that's off. Depending on what firewall you're using, check it's settings as well. And certainly run full-system antivirus, antispy, etc. scans. Also, if you've reloaded Win98, visit Windows Update for the Security patches. . . . Gary |
