Scandisk can't acces HD
I set Scandisk to check my HD and repair any errors. It asked for a reboot, so I did. The usual screen came up, with the text (or something similar to this): "Starting Scandisk - Disk format is NTFS - Cannot acces drive in behalf of Scandisk - Scandisk completed". So it doesn't scan, but also Scandisk is started at every boot. Any ideas?
EDIT: Specs are at http://home.wanadoo.nl/r.c.vos/specs.htm. Last edited by Malta Soron; 03-09-2006 at 12:42 PM. |

Boot with your XP CD, log into the repair console, and run CHKDSK /P

After chkdsk /p it reported to have found one or more errors, so I ran chkdsk /r and that went OK. However, when I restarted, Windows still initiated Scandisk (with the same error). Is it gonna try untill it succeeds?

Open a command prompt and type CHKNTFS /D
Close the window and reboot. |
