Having problem trying to change DMA mode

I am trying to change DMA mode on my Secondary IDE channel but although DMA if available is set in transfer window i cannot get rid of PIO mode in Current Transfer Mode window, i have tried resetting to PIO in Transfer Mode window but no luck, rebooting as i change it. Any suggestions please?

What is hooked up to the secondary channel?

You might try deleting the secondary controller from device manager and reboot.

Hi EzyStvy, Whats the easiest way to tell whats hooked up to what channel?
In reg my primary IDE is 002 and secondary is 001 but how do i know whats on what?

Uninstall the secondary channel in device manager and reboot.
