currupt exchange mailbox
hello all, weve got an exchange 2003 server that hosts about 10 mailboxes.
every user has their exchange mailbox in outlook2003 and a pop email account. the pop email account is used for sending and recieveing (its the default account) and all the email is delievered to the exchange mailbox. one users messages occasionaly get stuck in the outbox, but still get sent to the recipient. and when ever this user does a send/receive they get a failure during send on the pop mail account that say a paramter value was invorrect (or soemthing along those lines) the odd part is that the user isnt sending any mail, and their outbox is empty..... the error on the pop send happen regardless.... i removed and reinstalled the exchange client on the computer and let the exchange mailbox be re-cached on the computer. (the box is 4gb, so i didnt let it finish before testing it) i could do send/receives just fine with NO ERRORS AT ALL. the user called me after the exchange box finished copying in and the error on the pop send is back (and the outbox is still empty... no mail is even being sent....) |

im assuming the exchange mailbox is currupt in some way and most likely needs to be recreated..... but its 4gb and takes FOREVER to copy the box to a new pst file and then copy it back to a fresh exchange mail box.... anyone know of something quicker i can do.... could the outbox be the only thing currupt... (but why would it take till the end of the exchange mailbox download to start giving the error?)

fixed, it was the presence of exchange email addresses in the contacts that caused the error.
