Dear Sir,
I recently purchased a USB portable Hard disk box with 40GB Hitachi Harddisk. I tried installing the driver in my Coputer with Windows 98SE.Though the driver is installed while booting with the drive the m/c says 'windows protection error ' and 'restart the machine'.Upon restarting the drive is not recognised. In device manager tab of windows it says windows could not load the device on last boot up and hence will not attempt to restart this device again.I enabled the device in ASD menu of windows again and tried with the same result. My machine is a Intel Celeron 466Mhz with 128MB static RAM.Can yu suugest how the device can be recognised. Thanks: |

Contact the manufacturer of the housing to find out about compatibility issues or the existence of an updated driver. You know it's going to be VERY slow without USB 2.0, right?
