installing xp pro?

i plan on installing xp pro to my new build. it is an older version of XP pro, and I am wondering if it's ok to install and then go and download the service packs online. because ive read some threads where people talked about slipstreaming the service packs...i dont know what they are talking about though/

Hi you can do either just dont go online without a decent firewall installed first.
