Hi,
Is it possible to make a Windows Xp pro disk into an ISO so that it would run on VMWare (Virtual machine)? I have tried to run my Xp pro setup disk on VMWare but it says it needs to either be an ISO or a bootable disk? Any recomendations to how this can be done? |

The folks at VMWare seem to think you can use the XP Pro CD --> http://www.vmware.com/support/guestn...tos_winxp.html
The Ubuntu forums have a how-to, if your VMWare is on a Linux host http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=84275 and another how-to: http://johnbokma.com/mexit/2005/10/2...indows-xp.html ExtremeTech has a few tips to add of their own: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/...1156364,00.asp Unless the XP has a enterprise site-license, it's Activation must be considered. Best of luck . . . Gary |
