install xp pro ?

I already have xp 64 install on my computer. I would like to install xp pro so I can use certain 32bit drivers. I have a Hauppage card which has drivers that will not install on x64. Any pvr users using x64?

Hi racerxfactor

Take a look at this Hauppauge download webpage- the drivers on it are quite recent, and state that they are compatible with the 64 bit version of Windows XP. http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/suppo...rt_pvr150.html

There are other download pages to choose from, in case this driver set doesn't support your card.

Best of luck

I was using xp64 with the 64 bit drivers. The drivers work ok, however the winTV app will not work [or at least I was not able to make it work]

On that same page I linked you to, there are links to newer versions of the "middleware", Hauppauge WinTV2000 application, Hauppauge video decoders, Hauppauge remote control application, WinTV Scheduler, and the IR Blaster setup.

That page goes on to have information on specific errors with WinTV, down toward the bottom of the webpage.

I imagine for things to have a fighting chance to work in 64bit, all the various parts have to be as recent as possible.

Good Luck

Even the latest version of the winTV would not work. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
