Windows xp...vista....???
I haven't been following the Vista updates, so I don't know much about when it is coming out. I am building a new machine and was going to get windows xp home edition. Is there any reason I should get another version of xp? My system will be for gaming/internet/ms office apps.

Nope, no reason to get anything other than XP Home for those uses.

Vista is delayed until 2007, and I would wait for it to be updated after that.
Go ahead and get XP Home, you'll be set for years.
