software install problem
I down't know if this is an XP problem or not, I assume it is. I can't seem to install a program called Avisynth. It downloads but stops installing after a couple seconds with this message: You need administrator rights to install Avisynth!\r\n\r\n(could not write to registry).
I have administrator rights, never had a problem before. Windows firewall is disabled. Any ideas? |

Hi ricoman
This thread might be moved over to the Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista forum - since, yes, it is an XP (or General Software) installation issue. See if the trick of either deleting your leftover AVISynth folder from previous failed installations & then reinstalling works - Or - the trick of installing an older version (such as 2.54) first, and then updating to the most recent works. Here's the thread that these tips came from: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=97406 And here's the homepage for that software, with tips, guides & other info http://www.avisynth.org/ Best of luck . . .
