windows xp trouble

i can install windows xp and when it says that my computer will reboot in 15 seconds it reboots and then it says error loading operating system.

You have a lot of company getting this error. Usually folks getting such errors are using SATA drives & the SATA driver loading is problematic, or a Bios setting is off a bit. You can read through some of the experiences in these threads:

One of the more commonly successful fixes was to make sure that the partition that XP was installing on was marked active (which you can do if you setup the partitions with the XP disk tools).
