Windows XP won't boot

I posted a thread earlier in relation to this problem and wasn't sure how to edit it or update it so I'm starting a new thread. I've installed a new MOBO and processor and XP wouldn't boot and I lost the XP CD. I was informed that I was screwed and had to go buy a new one which I did. I tried to use it to repair my current installation but it still has the exact same problem: the initial Windows screen that's black with a little staus bar under the logo pops up for just a second and then the blue screen appears with the error code
0x0000007E. I can't boot in safe mode either, it gives me a different blue screen. What can I do? Also, even after reading several articles on this site and others about Windows Recovery Console I still don't really know how to use it or even if it will be able to help my current situation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Please don't start a new thread. Here's the old one. I'm closing this one.
