Shutting down computers enterprise-wide...
We are trying to figure out a way to shutdown users PCs enterprise-wide at 12:00am everyday. Does anybody know of any software or anything else that might be able to do this? We tried using a software named "BigFix" but it is painfully slow and pricey.
Our network is mainly composed of Windows XP/2000 machines and our servers are running Microsoft Active Directory. |

There are tons of free apps like the following for Net Admins. Can also get em for the local machines....
Slawdog Smart Shutdown is a powerful network enabled shutdown utility, that allows you to shut down, log off, reboot, lock, turn off, hibernate, disconnect from the Internet or network, enter standby mode in Windows, shut down and reboot computers in your network, both manually and automatically. In addition, you can choose to automatically empty the recycle bin before shutdown, display a warning message, eject removable media and more. It can also shut down your computer if you are inactive for a specified period and provides single click shutdown from the system tray. Additional features include command line support, message reminders, shutdown profiles and more. http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/Sla...tshutdown.html
