IRQl errors

Hello,

On Windows XP I am getting a BSOD usually when I am in the middle of downloading something after 10 minutes or so. It is always an IRQL error but the variables might be different. That past couple of days it has been:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

0x000000D1 (0x00000009, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x00000009)

Do these numbers actually point to a specific problem?

I have also found in my event viewer that I am getting a lot of errors with wmiaprpl.dll

"The open procedure for service "WmiApRpl" in DLL "C:\WINDOWS\System32\wbem\wmiaprpl.dll" has taken longer than the established wait time to complete. There may be a problem with this extensible counter or the service it is collecting data from or the system may have been very busy when this call was attempted."

I was curious if the two errors are connected and how I might fix it. Is it as simple as getting a new WmiApRpl.dll and replacing it, or as Microsoft recommends increasing the timeout length? Or as tedious as replacing everything one by one.

I have run a memtest and there were no errors with my ram, and I have not installed anything new for quite awhile (As far as I know anyways, always the case huh?)

I tried searching around for this, but there were just so many suggestions, where the hell do I start?

Try searching for the specific event number here. As far as the BSOD error goes:

http://www.tweaksforgeeks.com/IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.html

http://www.ntcompatible.com/thread27803-1.html

Everything I've come across points to a hardware error.
If these links don't help, google "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".
