I was planning on upgrading Windows Vista February CTP Build 5308 over my current Windows XP operating system just to try out Windows Vista and wasn't so sure if I could uninstall it if i did an upgrade of the operating system.

I'd recommend installing it on a separate partition or better yet on a separate hard drive. Make it a virgin install if you want to properly evaluate it without complications. You can then just reformat the partition or hard drive using your XP install if you don't like it or have problems.

You cannot upgrade the CTP build, it must be a fresh build .. it will not allow you to upgrade from either a previous build or a previous version of Windows.
It is the safer option to dual boot, anyway |
