I recently acquired an older comp that supposedly had windows 95 on it, but it would not boot up properly, after analyzing for several days for several days and having all kinds of errors I thought the problem was a bad hard drive after performing a scandisk and surface scan, and finding some bad sectors. I installed a 2.6 Gig hard drive and clean installed windows 95. Everything went fine until the reboot and I received the following error:
While initializing device IOS: Windows protection error, you need to restart your computer. Upon restart I selected safe mode and still received the same error. Is IOS - internal operating system? What could be the problem, I have 384 MG ram, 2.6 Gig hard drive. Anyone have an Idea?
