I started installing WinXP home on a new build. After going thru the format and partitioning process, and writing and/or copying files to the new drive....said that it would restart in 15 seconds (you know the process). I forgot to take the cd out and it started going thru the initial setup procedure again..............which i didn't think it would do......I started the repair and no dice............I don't want to reinstall over another install............I would like to start from the get go and do a clean install........guess i went wrong when not removing the cd......
Any advice is and will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bobbo |

thats ok, if you want, just reinstall it again, do not do a repaire console thing, do a full install as you did the first time and when it detects that it is already there it will ask if you want to delete the partition and say yes continue, and it will do the full install all over again and remove the first install.
this may be easer than truing to do the repaire thing. if you have any more questions, we are here for ya. |
