A pretty simple question about booting w/ 2 hard drives
Hey
I soon will have two completely clean hard drives and i would like to setup a dual boot.. both with windows xp.. all i want to be able to do is pick with hard drive to boot from each time i start the computer up. Would I simply install on both hard drives and the go into the BIOS and set one to boot before the other? I know this is pretty simple.. i just need to double check seeing as this is not completely my computer. thanks ahead of time ^_^ -EDIT- I did try searching around the forums but all i could find were problems with dual installs.. do correct me if i missed a thread |

That's one way of doing it, but that's a poor way of doing it. The better way would be to use a bootloader, which Windows usually automatically installs whenever you have more than one installation of Windows on a machine.
Is there any reason why you want to have two installs of Windows XP? |

Install Windows on one drive. Then install Windows on the other drive. The second installation should see that you already have Windows installed, and it will automatically take care of everything for you.
