outlook 2000 and xp home
I have just installed outlook 2000 on a new computer that came with xp home. When I went to find the outlook.pst file in outlook in indicated that it was in the following directory:
C:\documents and settings\myusername\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\ However, on the xp home pc there is no such directory! Does any know what is going on? |

Of course, that was the first thing that I did. Still, it was not there. The directory structure did not exist.

It might be silly, but you did remember to replace "myusername" with your login name, right ? If you did, how far can you get in the path ? Until "Local settings" ? Further ?

I rebooted this morning and the path was there just as expected. I have no idea why it was not there yesterday. The only thing that I can come up with is that I just installed MS Office yesterday. Perhaps I added my name as a user after the installation and did not reboot.
Thanks for all the support. |
