Hi All:
This just started today, the History panel to the left of the screen opens and I can't seem to be able to find where to get it to stop. I went to View, Explorer Bar and unchecked History, but it keeps coming back. I tried unlocking Toolbar, closed the History panel by unchecking it, rebooted, but nothing has worked for me so far. I'm tired of having to click the X or unchecking History to make it go away. All help will be very much appreciated, and thanks ahead of time, Bill Lane WinXP Pro, IE 6.0

Try simply pressing control + H if the bar is still there, then exit out of IE and open it up again.

Hi Statica & ryan124712:
I really didn't understand what they were trying to tell me to do at the link that Statica directed me to. I tried what ryan124712 suggested, but it was still there. So I ran System Restore from 4/27/06, and everything is back to normal. I don't see how or what caused the settings to change, I have AdAware, SpyBot, AVG Free edition, MS AntiSptware, Reg Cleaner, Spyware Doc., and I Defrag once a week. I keep everything up to date. Anyway, thanks for the input, it's really apprecited !!! Bill Lane |
