How to disconnect a Windows error message.

Whenever I am forced to use the Windows Task Manager to shut a program down that refuses to close normally I always get the little window that says "you have chosen to end a non responsive program" and "would you like to send the information to MS". Yes, I know what I did and No, I don't want to inform MS. Is there anyway to turn this "feature" off? Thanks. Windows XP.

Send a message via AIM to Panama Red
Not sure if it will help but Disable the Error Reporting service. Start>run>services.msc and Disable Error Reporting. Also, in System Properties (right click My Computer>Properties) click on the Advanced tab and select the Error Reporting button at the bottom. Disable Error Reporting there too.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've disabled the program. Now I'll just wait until something freezes up, use Task Manager to shut it down, and smile.

I that doesnt work there is a registry key that you can put in or remove to disable it. Its pretty simple. Here is the link Manage Internet Explorer Error Reporting.
Make sure you back up your registry or system restore is enabled just incase you accidently mess somethign up.

I had to laugh when I read that. Two weeks ago I did something that seriously wrecked my registry. I still don't know what went wrong. Eventually I became locked out of the OS to the point when it was impossible to log on in any mode. 10 hours to reformat my hard drive, 1 hour to reinstall windows and get a new code from a call center in India so MS would leave me alone, and TWO days to reinstall all my programs which I fortunately keep a backup of their original downloads. Yea, be real careful with your registry.
