xp home oem
I have an oem version of windows xp home, I would like to install on another computer ,can I purchase a cd key from Microsoft and use the same cd I have or do I need to purchase a retail version?

you will need to purchase another one, you can only use one per system.
I belive the cost of a key from MS will be more than what a new oem xp-home would cost. |

Microsoft only offers extra licenses for retail versions of XP unless you are a registered system builder that qualifies for volume OEM licensing.
