Incorrect Password?
So I opened my laptop (ThinkPad x60) and logged on and noticed it was going kind of slow. I decided to reboot and I came back to the logon screen and typed in my password and it says its incorrect. Even when I swipe my finger on the finger reader it says the password is incorrect (though it accepts my fingerprint).
What should I do? *Note: capslock is not on, and I'm using Win XP Pro |

Do you remember what your password is (to type in?)
If worse comes to worse, there are burnable CD's which may reset your password. You could also consider a format, if the information on the computer is not crucial. |

You could try logging in as Administrator (if you havent set a password it is blank, press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the Welcome screen) and username is 'Administrator'
Failing which there are some directions here that you can try: http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_admini...r_password.htm Beyond that, I'm afraid this thread is going to get closed down, because we have no way of verifying whether the issue is genuine. Thanks for understanding. |
