After rebooting last week all my quick launch icons disappeared and I can't put any new ones to the taskbar. Why would this happen and how do I get them back? Ran virus and spam software but came up clean. Don't know where to go from here. PC has been wonky in general lately, finding myself using System Restore more than should be necesary. My PC is windows XP SP2, get regular windows updates as they become available.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance jhonni

Have you right-clicked on the taskbar and made sure that it is not locked?

lost quick launch icons
when I right click on the taskbar there is no check next to lock taskbar and when I click on quick launch choice it tells me "cannot create toolbar". I found my folder of all the icons on had in quicklaunch and just placed that folder in the tool bar after right clicking on the taskbar and choosing "new toolbar", so at least now I have access to what was there. I hope it remains there. We'll see. Don't know how else to access the icons.
Thanks for responding, jhonni |
