Unmountable_boot_volume
i fell asleep watching a movie and woke up the next day with a frozen computer. so i restarted the computer and windows halted to make sure nothing bad happened further to my computer. it was a bright blue screen with white letters. it indicated that i had an 'unmountable_boot_volume'
any solutions to the problem here? windows attempts to load up, but after loading for a while the blue screen pops up and doesnt let me past it. i was thinking i could slave it to my familys computer, but wondered if theres is an adapter to connect a SATA HD to a non-SATA computer. thanks for any responses. SPECS: AMD 3500+, MSI NEO4 Plat, 1GB mem, 120 GB seagate HD, win XP home, 500-watt PS, 6600gt |

your right in that if you could hook up to another computer and run chkdsk or just run
install cd and then run chkdsk /r when in recovery console and then reboot and that should fix it as I just went thru this last week. Mq1 |
