Downloading On Screen Video
I have tried to download an on screen movie file that runs quite happily in VLC player into an AVI file so that i can convert it to DVD file and burn. I have tried Riverpast Screen Capture also several other trial programmes but all i get is a blank black screen on playback on computer using the progammes player or VLC.
Is there a programme that will carry out this function of recording what VLC is playing or will i have to watch it on the computer? |

Hi,
I once used HiDownload to download a streaming video to the hard drive. It worked well, so it might work for you, too. RJ

Yes jayb1234 this again is streaming video.
RJ it is on hard drive because i can play it with VLC but none of my normal conversion programmes will look at, they include Nero, VSO convertXtoDVD, winAVI, CopytoDVD, thats why i am looking for a programme to catch what VLC will run. |

Since you have it on hard drive you only need to convert. What kind of file is it ? Is it mpeg, wmv, rm, qt, mov.. . ?
Whatever kind of file it is, there is a way to convert it. But if you want to capture it from VLC, turn off the overlay, and use your capture softwares again. Without the overlay they will work. RJ |
