Odd Behaviour

I'm currently experiencing something incredibly annoying. For an unrecorded amount of time after boot Windows continually loses window focus. I can type about one word before it happens.

Anyone experienced similar?

Bailz.

I'm a little foggy on exactly what you're describing - but if you're referring to the active window suddenly becoming inactive, that could be a sign of adware/spyware/etc. present. It couldn't hurt to run some scans - use as thorough settings as you can, run some from Safe Mode, and follow up with an online scan (at TrendMicro's HouseCall, Ewido, Panda, Symantec -- there are many to choose from).

If you are referring to a sudden degradation of video quality, shutdown, power-off, unplug, and remove the case cover. Then try running the system with the case open, and watch to see if the video card is getting too warm (if it has a fan, see if the fan might have failed, or be failing).

Best of luck

Thanks. I think it was Spyware. I ran Spybot S&D and Ad-aware, removed a couple of things and the problems gone.

Cheers,
Bailz.
