Windows won't boot?
Windows won't start. I get an error saying:
"Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware. Please check the Windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information." I have no idea what happened because I wasn't doing anything to any hardware, or windows.....I was writing an email and my computer frooze up. It then went into a restart and when it did, this message poped up. I have tried putting my windows disk in but I can't seem to get it to boot from that. Help

When my machine is just starting up, I hit F11 and told it to boot from the cd drive that I have the disk in. Is that the same thing?

You need to go to the hard drive manufacturer's web site and download the diagnostic for your drive.
You'll need a floppy drive and a floppy disk. Follow the manufactuer's instructions for using it. Hit Delete at boot up which will get you into the Bios. You want Advanced BIOS Features, put the floppy drive first in the boot order, put the floppy disk into the drive and then hit exit and save. The computer will boot from the floppy and you can run the diagnostic programs. From here though it sounds like your hard drive died on you but since it's under warranty, it's less than a year old, the manufacturer will send you a replacement.

Thanks for all your help everyone. From what you all are saying, I might need to replace my harddrive...so I will try doing that and see if that works.
