"My Music" question
I have windows XP home. I have two HDD's-120gb/320gb. The 120 is partitioned into a 16gb for System, 10gb for games, and the remaining for a music library, photos and misc. I am using itunes and I'm trying to figure out how I could go about having the "MY MUSIC" selection under the start menu to go to itunes on the F: partition with all my music. I'm running into troubles trying to install itunes on my F: partition instead of the System partition. I am denied authorizations of some kind when trying to cusomize it. Is possible to have the "MY MUSIC" tab go to a different partition? Despite being denied authorization to make particular changes in itunes I am able to double click the shortcut on the desktop and access the itunes library on the F: partition.

Just browse to the My Music file, click on it once and you should get an option in the left pane to Move To. Click Move To and browse to the new location. Done

What you may want to do is move the entire My Documents structure. If you right click on My Documents, Properties, Target tab, you can Move. This will move the whole structure to where you want, and maintain proper linkage with ALL software that defaults to the My Documents structure for where it looks for its data files. My Music is a subfolder of My Documents.
