Win XP Home - Empty Device Manager

Hello - New Here

I have a PC with WinXP Home. Somehow, after installing a Linksys Wireless G PCI adapter, the device manager is blank. I searched Microsoft, and found article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/311504/en-us that should fix it. I did this, as well as running Norton WinDoctor (from the CD) but the problem persists.

I was planning on doing a re-installation of XP, but would rather fix this without having to re-install all the updates again. Any suggestions?

You might try system restore to a time before you installed the wireless card.
