software versions on different drives.

what i'd like to do is have photoshop cs2 installed on my c partition and have photoshop cs2 ME (middle east edition) installed on another hard drive.
the regular ps cs2 runs nicely but cannot handle right-to-left text and i'm forced to type backwards (starting with the last letter of the last word). this is a pain.
i've installed ps cs2 middle east and that handles hebrew great but doesn't run so great (stops responding).

so can this be done? have some programs run from different hard drives (a slave or an external)?
