Unhappy Help Pls

Can someone please help me. I've trying to install winxp SP2 but it keeps hanging during installation. I already updated the bios of my motherboard but it still hangs.

Different times actually during the initial setup of the installation. I've tried win98 se too but
it also hangs during installation

That points to a hardware fault. Make sure your cpu is not overheating and test the memory with www.memtest.org

yes it has to be hardware. but the trouble is i must have change evry imaginable part of my pc.tried several different memory too.im bushed. but thanks anyway for the help.

Well, don't give up just yet. There's always a cause for problems like that, we'll just have to find it. Could you give us a list with what was originally in the pc (brand/model of everything including the PSU) and then everything you tried switching with and the results. And did you run memtest86 ? Even if it tests okay, we can at least disregard the memory as a potential troublemaker...
