Windows Splash Screen.....
I installed a new mobo in my pc - installed all the drivers - no conflicts etc etc
defaulted bios to optimal etc... when i boot up... it sits at the windows splash screen with the loading bar for a long time - once i get to the welcome screen, all is well - but it will sit at the splash screen for up to 2 mins sometimes - maybe longer.... any ideas - ive been searching all over, with no prevail |

Many USB devices if connected can cause this.
It can also be caused if the pc is part of a network.

no usb devices connected....
does the same with no lan cable attached.... |

I've had it take a long time to start up before. The problem was the RAID drivers, they lagged everything down. I'd check your BIOS to see what is enabled to load at start up.

it turned out to be the older hard drive in the machine.....
