strange C drive problem

I have a 20 GB C drive and I only use my PC for internet and word processing. My PC is running Windows XP operating system

I only have 2 GB programs/files on it, but I am getting indication of
98% usage and 2% free space on the C drive.

I tried the followings on the C drive:
- Disk cleanup
- Disk defragmentation
- compress files

All are not working, I am still only getting 200 MB (or 2%) free space
on the C drive.

I also ran SPYBOT and it didn't detect any virus on my PC.

Also, it seems to me that the free space on the C drive will become
less and less even I only use internet for 1 hour.

Could someone help me ??

Thanks.

What other security software are you using? Do you have a anti-virus program? Spybot isn't really a anti-virus, it's for spyware detection and removal.

You might want to try doing an online virus scan over at Housecall.

And then do a malware scan over at Ewido.
