Another Ghost 2003 Question

I have 2 hard drives in my XP Pro system. Both are formatted NTFS.

Drive 1
Partition C
Part D
Part E

Drive 2
Partition F
Part G
Part H

I am booting via a Ghost Disk(even tried Ghost CD).

Normally, when I try to image a disk or partition, in the menu I get to see all the partitions that I have on my disks(6 of them mentioned above).

Now, I get to see all the Drive 1 partitions---but I only see Part F from drive 2.

What's going on?

Those partitions are working ok. See them in explorer. See them in Partition Magic.

Only caveat here that I can think of is that I have GoBack running at this point.

Any Ideas?

My first reaction would be similar to that posted by “G” on the SysOpt.com forum version of this thread = to try disabling GoBack and trying the image then.

There are several articles at the Symantec/Norton support site you can look through, all concerning using Ghost 2003 on systems with GoBack installed.

There are also some caveats for systems with dynamic disks.
The Symantec article - http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...v_lvl=&seg=hho
And an interesting PCWorld forum thread that mentions having success seeing partitions once an update for the Ghost 2003 program was installed (via LiveUpdate) - http://forums.pcworld.co.nz/showthread.php?t=34949

It certainly couldn’t hurt to see if LiveUpdate has an update for your Ghost 2003. If yes, you could then create a new Ghost boot floppy, and try again = perhaps the partitions would then show up correctly.

The last caveat I have seen regards compressed drives – but I doubt that this applies to your situation. If it does, read through this article http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...&osv_lvl=&seg=

Best of luck
