Cant Standby or Hibernate
Hay guys, Whenever I try to put my computer in standby or hibernate mode it powers down then powers right up again. I dont know what gives..I was about to hit it but yeah...lol. Help me?

It sounds like you need to make some changes in the Power Management Setup of your bios.
Pull out the manual for your mobo and have a look.

what am i looking for exactly? I dont think asus wants me to know this stuff because its either there and really hard to see or the section is so small or it isnt there....

When you find the section in your manual you will find things like :
ACPI Suspend to RAM, Power UP on PCI Device and other power features for your board. Check the manual first so you'll know what the defaults are. |

ok I found it, so now what am i looking for more specificly? Do I want to set everything back to default if there not?

All normal and default.
Acpi suspend type S1&s3 acpi apic support- enabled restore on ac power loss- disabled hold power button instant off enabled. pwr on by pci devices-off pwr on by external modems-off power on by rtc alarm-off Day of month alarm-off power up by ps/2 mouse/keydaboard-off |

Its not always good to go into standby, hibernate or even use the harddisk power down.
I had many experiences that the system does not actually wake up. From the complexities of pagefiles, timestamps, Bios settings, wake up lags on HDDs or the O/S and the mixture of processing speeds etc, things may go wrong. |

And when you click on Power Options in Control Panel the settings are ?
