Help With Weird Issue

I was wondering how I would revert back to my system asking me to "save as" when I click on a file, rather than having quick time play it. Example was a friend send me a link in email for an MP3, usually I can just click that, IE will open and ask me to save as ... this time quicktime opened and played the track and would not let me save.

Try setting the default "Open With" program for this file type to the program of your choice.
For example, log in as administrator, find this type of file on your system (load one if needed),
right-click select properties. Where the dialog says "Opens With:", click the change button and enter or browse to the executable of the program you want to open the file with.
Or, try right-clicking the link and choosing the "Save Target As:" option.
