if its a "new" PC, you may want to take it back. If what I am reading is true, and there is no reason to doubt it.
What I read:
we use it when we are going to image a pc installation so that we can make as many windows installs, preconfigured for our corporation, in as little as 15 minutes. what you want to do is check the box for "Do not regenerate security identifiers" select the restart option, and click "reseal". what this will do is make it like it came out of the box, but only in the sense that you will have to re-enter things like product key, time, user name, etc. just like it came out of the box. it won't (at least shouldn't) delete any of her info, except maybe her user so you may want to back that up. other than that, i don't know of any way to get rid of that popup box.

sorry you got a bad pc in the bunch. if it is still under waranty, you could also call compaq (oh yeah, sorry, HP) and get them to help you with their mistake.

PS: sysprep (as MS calls it for short) is actually developed by them (i think) and therefore the only way they support imaging a pc installation without compromizing the UIDs and other things.

Hope that helps
