system32 windows loads after startup

Since 3 days ago, I noticed that whenever I enter windows, the windows/system32 folder is displayed. I have not placed it in the startup command, or see anything related to it in the startup in msconfig. I have also run spybot, addware, AV, but all clean. I am not sure why the windows/system32 explorer is being shown everytime. Does anyone know how to stop it from popping up?

Hi mystvearn this is a link to a thread I started on the same subject, I tried the fix in the reply I had and it didn't work for me, but maybe it will for you.
My customer still has the problem and I am rapidly approaching the idea of a repair/install, I will watch this thread closely to see if anyone submits another possible cure.
I hope you have more luck than I did, it might help us both.
