update kb8322483
I have installed this update about 7 times, I know becasuse it shows up in A/R programs 7 times. also the M$ update site shows that it has been successfully installed. Problem is that the icon to install keeps showing up and when I go to the update site, that is the update it pics to install.
What is the story here. Running W2K SP4. Thanks

Check your typing - KB's should be 6 digits, not 7.

I googled this earlier. Googled KB832483 2000
and one think I noticed down about halfway is a blurb about needing to install MDAC 2.8 Service Pack 1 first might work for you try googlin MDAC 2.8 Service Pack 1 2000 and see what comes up alan |

Thanks Taco, that was the key. Appreciate the input. I hope I can help someone else. This seems to be a somewhat usual problem.
