Xp Sp2?

I re-installed my windows the other day and when I was dowloading SP2 off windows update it said windows update won't have support for SP1 after October (I have SP1). Does microsoft have a downloadable SP2 update (not on windows update) that I'll be able to use after October, or are they going to hose me and make me have to purchase SP2 later?
