resizing pics

I am using xp with microsoft outlook express. I have some pictures I want to send out but they are large for cropping purposes, can I resize these pics before I send them? If I don't it will take forever to send them and the person I am sending them to uses web tv.
thanks for the help
Tim

You can use a program like Irfan View to resize them

. . . Irfan View is indeed a highly recommended program, well worth trying out.

If your pictures were taken with a digital camera, that camera likely came with a program that will be able to resize the pictures as well. Popular bundles often include either ArcSoft (PhotoImpression) or Adobe (PhotoShop Elements) -- and Hp systems have several imaging programs ("PhotoSmart"). So you might already have a capable program installed - check your "All Programs" menus.

The Image Resizer Powertoy is the one you'd want.

Yup, try the powertoy tfh linked before you look for a whole new program.
It is a small 224 Kb download, and adds the resizer to the right click menu.
Just highlight 1 or more photos, right click and choose resize then the size you want.
Very quick and painless.
